We are thrilled with the progress we are making with our Three Kings Toy Drive. Thanks to our members, court employees statewide, FDNY Hispanic Society, Devoe Street Baptist Church, Sofrito in White Plains, and Sazon Restaurant, we have already collected over 500 toys. Our Trustees are putting in tremendous efforts to spread the word and get the support we need. The toys are still flowing in and we expect to receive a lot more from different organizations.
We are proud to have the support from the Office of Court Administration and the sponsorship of the NYC Pubic Advocate, Letitia James, as well as the New York State Supreme Court Officers Association (SCOA), the New York Court Officers Association (COA), the New York State Court Clerks and The Vischer Ferry Volunteer Fire Company.
We have a team of Executive Officers who will travel to Puerto Rico the first week of January. We will donate toys to 2 hospitals in Caguas as well as other locations around the island. We are also excited to have the help of the U.S. Coast Guard in Puerto Rico who will help distribute the toys.
In New York City we will have a team of Executive Officers who will donate to homeless shelters. We are looking for volunteers in New York to come out and help us give back to our children during their time in need. If anyone would like to volunteer please email contact@lcosnys.org.
